Insurance products may be distributed by a natural or legal person registered a) in the FIN-FSA's Register of Insurance Intermediaries as either an insurance intermediary or an ancillary insurance intermediary, or b) with the competent authority of a Member State of the EEA other than Finland, provided that the person has informed the competent authority in that EEA Member State of the distribution of insurance products in Finland. Insurance products may also be distributed by certain ancillary insurance intermediaries, as referred to in section 4 of the Act on Insurance Distribution (234/2018), and by insurance providers.
